Year 5 : Surgery
Introduction
The Surgery module builds on the knowledge and skills gained in the Year 3 Met3a and Met3b modules. You are expected to transfer these prior-learnt skills into the clinical context and move seamlessly through this shadowing environment to a fully-fledged FY1 in surgery.
As a surgical FY1, the primary aim is to manage patients in pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative context. This will form the basis of the surgical learning objectives in Final year.
